Happy October! It’s been a couple of weeks since we sent out our newsletter. We are in “waiting” mode and haven’t had much to update. I’m so ready for fall and cooler weather. We did some traveling and have updates on litters due and upcoming.
Heather and I drove to Nashville to meet Chico and Kylo’s new families. We traveled partway to spend the night with them and work on going in and out of elevators, stairs, and traffic. The boys rocked it and loved all the attention of everyone wanting to pet them.
We headed to the beach for a couple of days afterward and enjoyed the sound of the waves, reading, relaxing, and doing absolutely nothing. Jaxson and Parker took care of the dogs while we were away. They are responsible boys who grew up around the dogs and helping us and know the routine of caring for things.
We took Skye to the vet to confirm she was expecting. She is not going to have puppies. We knew there was a chance, but still disappointing. It’s been a strange year not having more puppy breath around here.
Chloe bred this week and is due December 1st. We are still waiting for Evie to come into heat. Heather and I have been going over all the girls’ heats and trying to guesstimate litters with the girls being late and off schedule. We should have that together by next week.
Right now, we have:
Ellie Mae & Ego – are due on 11/10.
Chloe & Chance – are due on 12/1.
We are working on moving families around since Skye didn’t take, and we will have a deposit availability/waiting list as soon as we complete that.
We are waiting for Evie to come into heat. If Summer comes into heat soon, we will have one more litter with her before she retires.
We have Remi from our Gracie & Tahoe litter and young adults we are working with. Some are old enough to begin completing health clearances, and our older girls are retiring. It is a year of transition.
After Heather and I returned from the beach, Jill and I went to Florida to train with Centropix, a biotech wellness company. It was in-depth training, and we both enjoyed the information, people, and testimonials.
Billy and I have used the technology for a few years now. We’ve used it on ourselves, horses, and dogs at times.
