Wisteria Tails Online November 18, 2023

This week, we traveled to Flagstaff, AZ, and met the family getting Ranger (Evie/Ego). They have two other pups, Daisy (Marley/Chance) and Ocho (Sailor/Ego) from us. Ranger is settling in well and becoming fast friends with his new family members.

We have LOVED meeting the families over the last several years. It is so much fun for us to meet them in person vs. putting a puppy on a plane and sending it. It can be hard to coordinate sometimes, but we are blessed to have families work with us to make it happen.

Our tree is up but still needs to be decorated, and we plan to accomplish that this weekend. Most of the house is decorated with fall decor, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, too! It is a blend of things that bring joy!

We have a new software that we are using for records we have to keep for AKC (American Kennel Club). The other program only worked on Windows; we have been using Mac for years. My old computer has decided it is on its last leg, so I have been working on transferring records, pedigrees, etc, to a new online program. What a chore, but I’m almost done.

I’m still behind in email, and I plan to get that caught up this week. So, if you are still waiting, I’m working on getting back to you.

Our kids and grandkids will be here this year to celebrate the holiday. We are blessed and grateful that most of the time, we can get all of us together a few times a year. It can sometimes be a challenge as children grow and have their own families, additional families to spend time with, etc., to all get-together.

I’ve been learning how to make sourdough bread. It’s a learning process, and I’ve killed my starter a few times with my schedule and lack of feeding. I will experiment with my family on rolls this year. Let the baking begin.

We are working on updated pictures and videos of both Buddy and Cliff. We had a family that was supposed to meet them, and we were working on a time/day when they disappeared. “Word has spread about our participation in St Luke’s pet therapy program in McCall to Meridian and Nampa, and we’ve been asked to help start programs in those locations. It’s an honor to be asked to help and an excellent opportunity to serve Treasure Valley’s growing medical community. Parker is our foundation, Golden, who will help me organize training new Pet Therapy teams in these two hospitals. She is so loved by existing patients and hospital staff in McCall, and I know how much fun it will be to spread our Golden wings.
