Honoring All Who Served!

This week flew by quickly, and I’d like to know where it went. We are still doing some catch-up and preparing for the holidays. We have confirmation that puppies are arriving, our travel plans have changed some, and our two oldest grandsons are visiting for the weekend.

We didn’t have an exciting week but were busy cleaning and organizing for the upcoming holidays. Getting some pre-shopping done and menu planning. Thanksgiving is going to be here this year. I’ve always hosted the holiday, but having our new place, we switch between Heather’s and our home, depending on where we are with the puppies and feeding time requirements.

I’m determined to decorate our Christmas tree and house early this year. Last year was very busy, and we seemed to just “fit” the holiday in and didn’t have the time to really enjoy it. I’m ahead with shopping since I found gifts in Italy to bring home.

Chloe had her ultrasound yesterday and is definitely expecting babies! We are excited to have some little ones again. She is due on December 9th. These puppies will be ready for their new homes around the beginning of February. The female deposits are full, and we have 2nd pick male available.

We have vet appointments for our other girls at the end of the month to confirm theirs.

We were scheduled to take Cliff and Ranger to meet their new families this week and are still on track for Ranger. In talking with the family and working with Cliff this week, we decided he wouldn’t be the best fit for them, so he is available.

Trained Puppy Cliff

Cliff is a gentle giant. He is very loving, and smart, trains easily (he does have his teenage moments right now), and hates the crate. We have worked with him for short periods of time during the day, and he is better, but he struggles with the crate at night. Contrary to popular belief, not all puppies/dogs love the crate. It isn’t even about them getting “used” to it, it’s about them being very uncomfortable and unsettled.

We have a family coming to meet both Buddy and Cliff this weekend and hope one of these boys is a fit for their family. They are both fabulous boys and waiting for the right family for them.

Braiden and Landon are coming for the weekend. Now that Braiden is a grown-up young man, we don’t see him as often with his responsibilities of being an adult. The boys are coming down to go hunting with Rhys, but Grams and Granddad are excited to hang out and visit with them.
