Wisteria Tails Online January 6, 2024

Snow

It was last spring since we had little ones, and Chloe’s puppies are old enough to start enjoying the playroom. It got deep cleaned this week with all the toys being washed, crates and liners cleaned, etc.

Now that all the litters have arrived, we’ve been working on our travel schedule to meet families. Everyone has been very proactive, and we’ve almost got all the dates set for families coming here, us meeting them, and flights scheduled.

I’ve been working on getting my email inbox cleared out with thousands of emails. So much junk and missing the emails that are important. I have deleted and unsubscribed to get it under control and easier to manage. I’ve been a bit off track this past year and getting back on top of things. The move and being in two places really threw my routine off.

Chloe & Chance
The pups turned four weeks old on Thursday. They are enjoying playing with toys and each other. This is such a fun age, as they see us and get excited, want to be in our lap, and start exploring and experiencing more of the world around them.

They are spending time in the playroom; we have the TV playing, will be adding boxes (they can sometimes be scary things,) and have set up crates to add bones and treats to start the process of them going in and out of them.

Raine & Ego
Raine’s puppies are one week old now. Their eyes will be opening soon, and a few days later, their ears. We are aware of having things gentle and quiet as their ears open to have their first sound experience a good one.

We will take their two-week pictures and have them posted on Wednesday.

Brea & Theo
Brea had her puppies on Dec. 30th. She had two girls and three boys. We lost one of the girls. She was very tiny when she was born, and we’re pretty sure she was premature.

Summer & Chance
Summer had her puppies on Jan 2nd. The first puppies in the new year. She delivered eight puppies and then had trouble. We had to take her to the vet, who had to do a c-section on her. One boy was stuck in the birth canal (who had died) and she had one more girl. We lost another boy the next day. Our final count on this litter is three boys and five girls. Losing puppies is one of the hardest parts of having and raising puppies.

We will take newborn pictures today and get them posted for families.
