Happy Fall — we’re so excited you’ve arrived! Heather and I had the best trip to Italy. Billy and I made a late anniversary trip, and we’re putting together our fall/winter plans for puppies. We are traveling to meet families in the next couple of weeks to get puppies and have a girl who has been bred.

Italy was amazing. It was a memorable trip for us, and so thankful we had the opportunity to make it happen. We did a pasta cooking class, a wine and food tour in Bologna, and a day trip to Florence. We then traveled to San Gimignano, stopping at Lucca along the way. We took a day trip to Pienza, stopping at Montecupliano, and did a wine tasting and tour.

We left San Gimignano and drove to the Dolomites, staying in Ortesi. While there, we visited the Seceda and saw the lakes. We spent our last couple of days in Venice before heading back home.

We rented a car and drove through Italy, enjoying the country, the wine, the food, and the people — it was all fabulous! We had to purchase extra luggage to bring our groceries home, including olive oils, balsamic vinegar, truffle oils, cheeses, etc. Plus, all those souvenirs for those grandchildren.

We made it home, and I unpacked and repacked before heading to the Smokey Mountains for a trip with Billy. We took a puppy to meet their new family in Asheville and then headed to Gatlinburg. Our 38th wedding anniversary was in July, and with having hay to do, puppies, and our upcoming trip to Italy, we made a late trip to spend some time together.

Since we’ve been home, we’ve been meeting families to get their puppies to them. We’ve already traveled to Asheville, NC, and Shreveport, LA. We are traveling to the East Coast next weekend and have a couple of dates scheduled for Dallas next month.

We currently have Kei (Summer/Chance,) Cliff (Misty/Theo,) Alex (Evie/Ego) and Buddy (Evie/Ego) available under our trained puppy page. We are working on updated pictures and videos of them this week. You can learn more about them here: Trained Puppies

Jill did a great job working with the puppies while we were gone, keeping them on track with their commands. Since Heather and I returned from our trip, Rhys and Heather have been working with them, getting them back on track with car rides, going to the park, walking, etc.

Chloe bred this week with Chance and is due on December 9th. Although Chance is retired, we have “him” in storage to continue having his puppies. Female deposits are full on this litter, and we have 2nd pick male available for deposit.

As seasoned subscribers know, we had all our girls come into heat at once last time, which provided us with an abundance of puppies since they all took. The year before, we had four girls not take, so we gambled on some not taking again this time, and well, we know how that worked out. This means we will do our program a little differently this time.

When we have a girl in heat, we will notify our waiting list and newsletter subscribers and announce it on our social media accounts. We will only proceed with the pairing if we have enough deposits on the litter. Depending on the girl, we will only have a few days to make that decision. as some girls have longer cycles than others.
