We took our house off the market for a bit, and this week, a new realtor came to visit and took pictures. We know there is a family out there that would love our home as much as we have, but it is time to downsize and do something different.
We’ve always had our Easter celebration at my house, but with our new place in Greenwood, we’ve started hosting it at Heather’s since we’ve puppies to care for and lunch to feed them.
My family loves my guacamole salad, and it has become our family tradition for years. When my whole family — parents, sisters, brothers, their families, and children– came to our house for the day, it was a special occasion. We always had at least 45 people here. Over the years, our family has continued to grow and expand, and as is often the case, we all started our immediate family celebration. My children and grandchildren wouldn’t know what it’s like to have an Easter without guacamole salad and all its fixings.
April is a busy birthday month for our family, and we also celebrate those birthdays on Easter. We have Heather’s and Rhys’ birthdays, plus those of our brother-in-law, sister-in-law, uncles, and the hardest one this year for me is my dad, which falls on Easter. This means there is always birthday cake for dessert at Easter, too!
We’ve had several families ask about our late summer and fall breeding plans, and we are working on finalizing all the details. We also have some girls who are retiring and getting appointments for spaying and placement.
We got an update on one of our retired girls this week, Brea.
“I just wanted to let you know that Brea is now a certified Therapy Dog with a non-profit organization, Dogs with a Purpose. We love her so much, and I have never had a dog so bonded to me.”
We know that this training requires commitment and dedication to earn the titles of Certified Therapy Dog and AKC Canine Good Citizen. Congratulations to the family and Brea for their dedication and hard work on earning this achievement. |
