One of the newest members of the Wisteria Golden family lost their beloved Golden Retriever, Buddy. Tom came to us looking for a new family member to add to his empty home. He recently shared a beautiful poem that his vet had given him when he lost his Golden friend.
I loved it so much, I asked him if I could share it with all of you. We lost our Sadie girl a few months ago — she sure is missed — so in memory of Buddy, and all the families that have lost a “furry” family member:
If we are, as people say,
but, the creatures of the day,
let me live, when we must part,
longer still in your heart.
You we all the God I knew,
I was faithful unt’ you.
Some day in time,
when all is done,
we will be again, together as one.
We will cross the bridge into the fields without end,
paw and hand, my very best friend.
