Wisteria Goldens Puppy Updates

We have some older English Cream Golden Retriever puppies and some 8 week old puppies and younger.  Having Melissa has been great — she is not only helping us with taking care of our English Cream Golden puppies, but also training the puppies.  She is taking great notes as they train and grow to share and further help match the perfect puppy with the right family!

Onyx — Lyra/Aspen – DOB: 11/24/2009

Onyx is a very happy English Cream Golden boy that is full of energy.  He  is very smart, and willing to work; would love kids to play with and would probably do VERY well at agility course work.  He would make a perfect companion for a walker, jogger, or hiker.  He is an enthusiastic boy that will need daily exercise — he is happy from head to tail!

Onyx is doing very well on his leash training and is fearless in any encounter.  He knows sit, shake, up, off, down, jump on, and come.  We are currently working on wait and right here.  Ques are still in process of being faded, but he is very good with all commands while “treat-baited.”

He is a very handsome, sweet English Cream Golden Retriever boy, which is an idea candidate for a family with children or an energetic athletic person with a yard and limited crate time.

Gracie — Rory/Buddy – DOB: 12/16/2009

Gracie is a happy English Cream Golden puppy with a hint of “diva” attitude.  :-)   She is beautiful, smart, and full of fun.  She loves to work, loves to please, and enjoys being kept busy.  She is very food motivated and learns quickly.  She is wonderful on a leash and is generally very happy to go where ever she’s asked to.

She is working well with sit, shake, up, off, down, roll over; and working very well on jump on, come, wait, and right here.  Ques are still being faded, but she is very solid on ques while “treat-baited.”

Gracie is a wonderful puppy that could grow up to do anything.  A puppy that would appreciate a yard and very little crate time.  (she doesn’t care for the crate, she wants to be with you)  She will be a great companion for anyone.

Ro — Rory/Buddy – DOB: 12/16/2009

A very sweet, smart boy.  Loves to work and please you.  A very quick learner — very food & praise motivated.  A great puppy for anybody!  Ro has a willing temperament and could probably go on to earn his AKC Good Citizenship Certificate or even become a therapy dog.

He is very good on the leash, sit, shake, up, off, down, and come.  We are working on roll over, wait, right here, and jump on.  Ques are being faded, but Ro is very good with all while being “treat-baited.”

Ro is an amazing boy with a personality that leaves his future open to many wonderful options — whether as an obedience trials dog, or a therapy/service dog, or just someone’s best friend!

Faith/Buddy Puppies – DOB: 2/2/2010

Pink Girl:  This little English Cream Golden girl puppy is a sweetie, but tends to be a little shy at times.  Not fearful, but cautious in new situations.  Once confident in her surroundings and new people, she opens up and is a happy, tail wagging, fun, little puppy.   She is doing well with her beginning leash lessons.  She has also been started on “treat-baited” sit, down, shake, off and on commands.  This English Cream Golden Retriever puppy is a little on the smaller side, she has a refined face with delicate features.  She is still a bit “chatty” in the crate, but getting better.

Lime Green Girl: This English Cream Golden Retriever puppy is exuberant, outgoing, and always wants to be picked to work first.  She loves staying around the longest to get more cuddles and attention.  She loves to play and considers herself a “tuffy,” but has moments of coyness, when she is uncertain of herself, however she generally overcomes this quickly.  She is happy to work and is doing very well on beginning leash training.  Like her sister Pink Girl, she is a little on the small side and has lovely delicate features.  She is doing well with beginning basics and “treat-baited” sit, down, up, off, and shake.  She is a fun, huggable little girl for someone to love.  She is still a bit “chatty” in the crate and not sure she likes being in there, but she is getting better.

Purple Girl: She is wonderful, smart, sweet and willing to work.  Purple girl is a happy, happy, happy, English Cream Golden puppy and loves to be cuddled and loved on.  She has a great desire to “please” and works hard to figure out what is being asked of her.  She is very enthusiastic and has an occasional moment of shyness, but is short-lived and ready to “play-on” quickly.  She is doing very well with her leash work and loves to explore.  Always ready to learn and very food motivated.  She is doing well with her basic training; sit, down, up, off, shake.  She is a bigger girl with a lovely big head and teddy bear hair.

Dark Blue Girl: She is very smart and wiling to work with a huge desire to learn and please.  Highly food motivated and eager to earn her “treat.”  She was the first puppy to learn “up.”  She is outgoing & enthusiastic.  She is a larger English Cream Golden puppy with thick teddy bear hair and a big head.  She is very confident.  She is doing very well with her beginning leash training and top of the litter with sit, down, shake, up and off.  She is doing well in the crate, but still has a few moments of unhappiness there.

Yellow Girl: She is a big, beautiful girl — her tail is always wagging and like Lime Green Girl wants to be the first one picked up to work.   She is a smart English Cream Golden puppy and learns quickly — very food motivated.  This girl is outgoing and fun…she is already doing very well on leash training, and “treat – baited” sit, down, rollover, up , off, and shake.  Doing well in the crate, but occasionally vocal in wanting out.  She is a very enthusiastic happy girl.
